If you’re searching for another action film to add to your 2022 must-see list, keep an eye out for a tentpole criminal thriller planned to reach cinemas early in the year: “Ambulance.”
With Michael Bay officially revealed in 2020, the director’s chair for “Ambulance” has changed a few times and evolved. “Ambulance” will also have significant onscreen talent and promises big-budget action, which will undoubtedly appeal to audiences.
The filmmaker of the upcoming Movie Ambulance is most known for films with a lot of explosives but not a lot of good scripting. The Rock, Bad Boys, and Transformers are among these flicks. Despite the fact that his films are rarely praised by critics, they nearly always do well at the box office, and as Bay is one of the world’s most commercially successful directors, he is unlikely to quit creating films anytime soon. Bay’s next feature project, on the other hand, will be a little different. It was revealed in November 2020 that the polarising director will take on a high-stakes action thriller called Ambulance, which TV writer Chis Fedak (Chuck) adapted as a remake of a single-location Danish film called Ambulancen from 2005.
The trailer for “Ambulance”
The first trailer debuted during Universal’s CinemaCon presentation on August 25, 2021, and was made public two months later. The clip has a lot of the fast-paced, over-the-top thrills that Bay has become known for, while also focusing on Gyllenhaal and Abdul-emotive Mateen’s performances.
When will “Ambulance” be released?
On February 18, 2022, the film Ambulance will be released in theatres. Universal hasn’t confirmed whether or not the picture would be released in cinemas alone, although Gyllenhaal stated as much at their 2021 CinemaCon presentation.
Ironically, this movie will be released on the same weekend as Uncharted, the long-awaited video game picture starring Gyllenhaal’s Spider-Man: Far From Home co-star Tom Holland. Which movie will bring in the most money at the box office? We’ll simply have to wait and see what happens.
The ambulance will be released two months after The Matrix Resurrections, another major motion picture starring Abdul-Mateen. If fans like his fresh take on the renowned mentor figure Morpheus, it might boost interest in Ambulance.
Cast and crew of “Ambulance”
Despite the fact that Ambulancen concentrated on four individuals in a single place, Bay has cast other actors who would most likely feature in settings other than the ambulance in his adaptation. However, some of these performers are still well-known and may have important roles in this new picture, so they should not be neglected.
Doom Patrol’s Devon Long, Longmire’s A Martinez, Army of the Dead’s Garret Wedding Crashers’ Keir O’Donnell, Dillahunt, The Flight Attendant’s Colin Woodell, and Jose Pablo Cantillo, The Queen’s Gambit’s Mose. Wale, a rapper from Washington, D.C., will also participate in the film, although his role has yet to be defined. Long and Cantillo, who will play William Wallace and Jesus, respectively, are the only two performers in this cast that have character names at this time. We don’t know how important or insignificant these parts are, or whether or not these performers were in the trailer.
The Plot of the Movie “Ambulance”
Three lives will alter forever over the course of one day on the streets of Los Angeles. In this fast-paced thriller from director-producer Michael Bay, decorated veteran Will Sharp (Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Candyman, The Matrix Resurrections), desperate for money to cover his wife’s medical bills, asks his adoptive brother Danny (Oscar® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, Zodiac, Spider-Man: Far From Home) for assistance. Danny, a seductive career criminal, instead offers him a reward: $32 million for the largest bank robbery in Los Angeles history. Will can’t say no when his wife’s life is on the line.
When their escape goes horribly wrong, the desperate brothers commandeer an ambulance, which has an injured officer on board and ace EMT Cam Thompson (Eiza González, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Baby Driver) on board. Will and Danny must elude a large, city-wide law enforcement reaction, keep their captives alive, and somehow avoid killing each other while executing the craziest escape L.A. has ever seen, all while performing the most insane escape L.A. has ever seen.

The making of the “Ambulance”
On January 11, 2021, Ambulance started to film in Los Angeles. In accordance with COVID-19 safety procedures, many cast and crew workers, including González, were seen wearing face masks.
Bay posted a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram at the end of the next month. On a dolly, he is seen shooting a potentially deadly stunt in which an ambulance collides with numerous police cars.
Given that no injuries were recorded following the stunt’s shooting, it was almost certainly a success. Filming for Ambulance officially finished on March 17, 2021, according to Olivia Stambouliah, one of the film’s other supporting characters.
