Keemstar sent a tweet in January 2016 to TotalBiscuit, a YouTuber who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, claiming he couldn’t wait to report on his death. Keemstar later issued an apology for the post. TotalBiscuit passed away in May of this year.
Ian Carter, better known as iDubbbz, produced a video exposé on YouTube in May 2016, accusing Keem of threatening prominent YouTubers with negative publicity, encouraging tiny channels, or accusing them of concealing something. Carter referred to Keem as a “very hasty decision-maker” and played footage of Keem stating things Carter found unfortunate. In reaction, Keem described the video as “entertaining” and said he had no intention of attacking other YouTubers.
