And especially in this season, many videos of the incidents that happened in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh are circulating on the internet. The current incident of the landslide that happened in Himachal Pradesh Kinnaur district left many people in shock. The video of the landslide that happened in Himachal Pradesh has been continuously circulated online over a wide range which shows boulders rolling down hills and smashing into a bridge.
This landslide took place on the Reckong Peo-Shimla highway in the Kinnaur district at 12:45 p.m. This landslide has been actually caused due to heavy rain and many landslides are getting reported in Himachal Pradesh over the past few weeks. This video is really shocking to see as the big stones are rolling down the hill and the most frightening part of this video is that it is probably said that a truck, Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus, and other vehicles are also buried in the debris. According to some reports, it is also said that 40 people were traveling by bus. It’s indeed a disturbing sight as it is not clear what had happened to those people who were stuck under the landslide. But fortunately, 6 people traveling in small vehicles have managed to be luckily rescued. But one or two deaths are now reported.
For the rescue operations, the team of Indo Tibetan border police (ITBP) have been also sent to the area. For more help, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has also been included. Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said to the reporters, “I have directed the police and the local administration to carry out rescue operations. NDRF has also been put on alert. We have received information that one bus and a car could have been possibly hit. We are waiting for detailed information”.
All the officials from police, disaster management authorities, ambulances district administration, rushed to the spot so that they can carry out the rescue operations and search operations. Union Home minister Amit Shah also took the initiative and spoke to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and assured him to help in all possible ways. The ministers are trying their best so that everyone can be rescued safely.
The video has gone viral on social media and the netizens are really worried about people who were stuck in the landslide. The people are praying for the safety of the people who are still trapped and are also talking about the incidents that are happening continuously in Himachal Pradesh. It’s indeed a scary incident and people are praying for all the people and their safety.
Probably because of the heavy rains, landslides are causing in Himachal Pradesh over the past few weeks as last month, 9 people, 8 tourists, and a driver were unfortunately killed due to the landslides in Sangla valley of Kinnaur. The video of the collapsed bridge in Basteri went viral on social media which was due to the boulders that rolled downhill. Although two people managed to get rescued, 9 people died. And another incident led to the road collapse as the hillside crashed down in a dramatic visual of a landslide. This incident happened in Sirmaur after 2 days of heavy rain.
This landslide in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh is extremely disturbing, as a report says that many people are still trapped there. All people are hoping that the people trapped there may be managed to get rescued safely, and everyone is praying for the safety of the people who are also in the surrounding area.
