The Season 2 Trailer for Flatbush Misdemeanors Reveals More

Flatbush Misdemeanors has returned for its second season. Let us state that if you haven’t watched the Showtime series that The New York Times(opens in new tab) describes as “very amusing,” you’re missing out.

The real and relatable comedy follows best friends Dan (Dan Perlman) and Kevin (Kevin Iso) as they uncomfortably try to navigate life and the different personalities of Brooklyn, New York’s Flatbush area. Dan and Kevin had no choice but to clumsily navigate the characters in the series, which are obviously of a special sort.

A few incidents near the end of season 1 left viewers wondering what would happen when the show returned.

To name a few instances, there was a shooting of an Administration of Child Services employee that required investigation, as well as a pill overdose. While we recognise that these are important events in real life, they will undoubtedly continue to be twisted uniquely to keep the series within the limits of a comedy.

Flatbush Misdemeanors Season 2 Release date

On Friday, June 19, the opening episode of Flatbush Misdemeanors season 2 was accessible to Showtime subscribers via the Showtime app and on-demand. On Sunday, June 19, at 11 p.m. ET/PT, the episode will premiere on the network. We’re not sure if this is only for the premiere or the entire season.

Also, good news for anyone who missed the show’s first season: Showtime is presently airing the debut episode on YouTube for free. Flatbush Misdemeanors is a Showtime original series that airs only in the United States on the platform. Those who want to view the show must subscribe to it through their cable or satellite provider. If you’ve cut the cord on traditional TV, live streaming providers like FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, and YouTube TV offer Showtime add-on subscriptions for a charge. You can also buy a Showtime subscription on its own by going to the company’s website.

There has been no word on when Flatbush Misdemeanors season 2 will premiere on UK platforms. With that in mind, utilising a VPN, or virtual private network, to watch US television shows abroad is a tried and true way.

The cast of Flatbush Misdemeanors Season 2

Kevin Iso and Dan Perlman star as the show’s creators, writers, and actors. While Iso’s list of credits isn’t particularly impressive, he did play Lewis in High Fidelity and contributed to several episodes of That Damn Michael Che. Outside of Flatbush Misdemeanors, Perlman’s name isn’t associated with many famous works, although he’s likely most recognised for his work on the short Cramming.

Kristin Dodson (The Shivering Truth), Hassan Johnson (For Life), and Kareem Green round out the cast (Equal Standard).

The plot of Flatbush Misdemeanors Season 2

Showtime describes the plot of Season 2: “In season 2 of Flatbush Misdemeanors, Dan, Kevin, Zayna, and Drew are back in Flatbush. Picking up where season 1 left off, Kevin tries to distance himself from Drew’s influence, yet Dan’s connection to Drew only grows stronger. Drew tries to correct his past mistakes, but they continue to haunt him. Drew’s niece Zayna ambitiously seeks to separate herself from her family’s troubled past. Meanwhile, Dan’s stepdad Kareem continues to sell bicycles. Season 2 follows these characters’ unlikely and complicated relationships as they intersect through the worlds of art, drugs and bike repair.”

Furthermore, supporters are curious how Drew will get away with what he did to that New York City employee.

Recap of Flatbush Misdemeanors Season 1

When Zayna learns the truth about what happened to her father. Also, she has a falling out with her uncle, Drew, and flees. Meanwhile, Drew is on the lookout for Zayna, and she visits her teacher, Jess’ apartment. It is where she discovers her and Dan together, and she spends the night there.

In the morning, Zayna is nowhere to be discovered in Jess’s apartment, prompting alarm among Jess and Dan. Zayna is also absent from school on the same day, raising even more concern. Later, as Drew is meeting with the high school principal where Jess and Dan work and Zayna attends. Also, Zayna enters the principal’s office and claims she merely went to get breakfast and her hair done. She then goes on to reveal Jess and Dan’s relationship.

Jess is placed on unpaid leave, while Drew is ordered to report to the rubber room on an indefinite basis. Because Zaya claims she is in danger, ACS investigates Drew to see if he provides a secure living environment for her. And when an investigator arrives, Drew shoots him. Zayna travels to Dami’s house, where she will be allowed to stay until her parents return from work. Dan instructs Kevin to go, and Kareem arrives at the same time.

Dan overdoes and ends up in the hospital after taking too many drugs. When ACS comes up at Dami’s house and asks whether she knows anything about Zayna’s whereabouts, Dami’s mother, Felicia, confronts the investigator, claiming to be Zayna’s representative. Dan sneaks out of the hospital when he shouldn’t, and Zayna sneaks out of Dami’s house. When a police officer arrives at Dan’s residence, he asks to come in and ask questions about Drew’s shooting of the ACS worker.

Trailer

We can’t determine which part of the trailer was more amusing: the remark about appearing like a “task rabbit” or the portion about the club and flickering lights.
