The news that Kang the Conqueror, one of the Avengers’ greatest villains, will be the antagonist in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania startled fans. Fans have long conjectured that Kang will be the antagonist of this new MCU story. In addition to being established as a serious danger in Loki’s season one finale, Kang already had a reputation for being a villain.
Kang the Conqueror, a comic book villain who has destroyed timelines and engaged the Avengers head-to-head on his own, is obviously involved, so this can’t be good for Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang or anybody else close to him. In light of this, the recent San Diego Comic-Con video that suggests that this Kang had already murdered a significant number of Avengers from other realities doesn’t help.
Has Kang previously murdered Avengers?
At San Diego Comic-Con, fresh, exclusive video for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was unveiled, showing more information from the picture.Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang is shown in the new video reading passages to an audience from his most recent book, “Look Out for the Little Guy.” Scott receives a call from prison, where his daughter Cassie Lang, played by Kathryn Newton, is being held, after a period of seeming inactivity.
Not only does Scott not want Cassie to waste her life, but he also needs her assistance. When Scott mentions how he rescued the world, Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas) reprimands him for doing it often. Janet van Dyne (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hope (played by Evangeline Lilly) add insult to injury. You’re an unusual man, Scott Lang, Kang says as the scene changes to him talking to Scott. Kang also mentions how many years Scott missed when he was imprisoned in the Quantum Realm. “Although you’ve lost a lot of time, time isn’t what it seems to be. The path is not straight.”
A lab explosion causes them all to be drawn into the Quantum Realm. As Bill Murray’s Krylar appears and finds Janet, they are all now in a different planet and must navigate it while wearing new outfits. I am aware of how everything you are clinging to and everything you refer to as life dies, says Kang. Scott explains to him that as an Avenger, he committed a mistake. You’re an Avenger, Kang says in shock before wondering to Scott, “Have I killed you before?”
Kang’s Passion for Scott Lang
The most fascinating aspect of the teaser is Kang’s obvious interest in Lang other than as an Avenger, which Kang immediately rejects. Why else would Scott Lang be of interest to Kang? Could it be that his role in the chronology is essential? After all, if Scott Lang hadn’t existed, Tony Stark never would have been inspired to experiment with or motivated to use the Quantum Realm to create time travel. Thus, when contemplating Scott’s role in aiding in the world’s salvation, his significance to the chronology dramatically increases.Other option is that Scott will take an action that he hasn’t yet taken, which Kang wants to either stop or guarantee. Kang’s odd lack of hostility for Ant-Man is puzzling, but it doesn’t imply Ant-Man or anybody else is safe.
On February 17, 2023, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will hit cinemas, revealing Kang’s true intentions to fans.
