Tokyo Paralympics 2020: Indian Archer Rakesh Kumar impresses everyone by entering into pre quarter finals

With the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics 2020, India has got good news today as Archer Rakesh Kumar impresses everyone with his great performance. He entered into the quarterfinals of archery and made India proud whereas his teammate Shyam Sunder Swami made a second round exit. 

The Indian compound archers had a mixed day at the Paralympic games conducted in Tokyo on Saturday. Also, the fact that the day after he shot the highest score that is 699 out of a maximum of 700 has hit the headlines. The score by an Indian para Archer in the qualification round is surely amazing. Also this 36 year old wheelchair-bound Archer easily overcame his opponent from Hong kong named Ka Cheun Ngai. The match between both of them was tough but by a massive 13 point margin, our Indian archer at the Yumenoshima Park made history. 

All of his Indian fans were left amazed and proud because of his amazing performance and also Archer Rakesh Kumar won an individual gold medal at the seventh father para archery world ranking tournament which was conducted in Dubai previously this year which again proved his amazing skills. He had near perfect 4 and dropped just one point each and en route to a total of 144 out of the possible maximum score of 150 in the match and did an amazing job for sure. win the match overall this amazing Archer from India short around nine perfect 10s including four closest to the centre that is ( X ). 

Also has a Hong Kong rival Ka Cheun Ngai, who gave a tough match by shooting four 10s and 3 ( Xs) that is for a total of 131. In the last 16 round which was conducted on Tuesday the third seeded Archer Rakesh Kumar will face 14th seeded Archer Marian Marecak. Marecak is from Slovakia and is very skilled 49 year old Olympian. The game is going to be really tough and also fans are all eagerly waiting for the upcoming event which will be proving whether India has a chance to get a medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics archery or not. Also our 21st seeded Archer Shyam Sundar did his best but couldn’t go ahead of the second round.

 The Indian Archer had a narrow 139-141 defeat against the Matt Stutzman who won the silver medal in the 2012 Paralympics. Matt Stutzman is the armless Archer from the USA who shoots with his feet. Matt Stutzman also took a three-point lead with a perfect 30-30 fourth end. From being 55- all at the halfway mark, he sealed the fixture by three points despite having a bit of late challenge by the Indian player.
