According to police, the shooting spree didn't cease until the alleged shooter seemed to commit suicide in a neighbouring parking lot.

Around 8:30 p.m., police reported that the shooting spree began near a Days Inn motel.

Security footage shows the shooter leaving a room while wearing a helmet and tactical clothing before opening fire on the facility.

According to police, the first officer to be shot was able to exit his patrol car and shoot back at the assailant.

The injured officer and that officer were both later rescued and taken to a nearby hospital.
