One can easily indulge in many adventure sports such as snow biking, river rafting, safaris, etc., named as ‘Land of Passes” because of the roads connecting to Jammu and Kashmir in India. All these make it unique and one of many places to consider.
Ladakh is also following Tibetan Buddhist culture and has many cultures related to Buddhism. Some popular tourist places in Ladakh include Alchi and Nubra Valley. Many can indulge themselves in the comprehensive Buddhist art and culture of Tibetans.
The introduction of the “World’s Highest Movie Theatre in Ladakh” is a significant addition to the hill station. It is located at the highest point of Ladakh at an altitude of 11,562 ft above sea level and works even at the -28°C temperature. It has become the first theatre to operate at this highest point and in this temperature.
This theatre was planned and installed during one of the events held by the local community, and Thupstan Chhewang, the president of the Buddhist Association, was the chief guest. The versatile actor and everyone’s favourite Pankaj Tripathi was the guest of honour.
Many felt that this initiation of installing an inflatable theatre is a great start. And even the people in the remote region can enjoy the feel of movies in the theatre. The theatre is made of rubber material and waterproof, which was the primary concern for many people in that region. Picture time Digiplex is the firm that took the initiative to start the theatre in Ladakh, which works against any abnormal weather condition.
“The seating arrangement is good and comfortable. Now many will take an interest in Art and Cinema,” stated one the Mepham Otsal, who was a part of the National School of Drama. “This is indeed a great initiative “, stated actor Pankaj Tripathi.
Critically acclaimed short films’ Sekool’ and Akshay Kumar Starred “Bell Bottom” were the showcased movies. And everyone felt the experience was utterly different. The inflatable theatre has all the facilities, and the CEO of Picturetime Digiplex, Sushil Chaudhary, has planned to install four other inflatable theatres in Ladakh.
It would be giving a movie experience to the remotest areas of India. They are making it affordable for every other person to experience. Now the travellers can also share the adventurous and new inflatable theatres when they visit Ladakh.
