The famous Tim Burton will be directing a new Netflix Original family fantasy series called Wednesday. Netflix defeated all of its rivals in the bidding war to secure the exclusive global distribution rights to the program.

Willa Adams, also known as Wednesday Adams, is beginning a new chapter in her life at the academy, the 200-year-old boarding school that her parents attended after being kicked out of eight institutions in five years. However, Willa already has preparations in place to depart from their alma mater because she has no interest in doing so.
But this institution is special, unlike any she has ever visited. The four main cliques in the school are the Fangs, Fur, Scales, and Stoners. It’s also a piece of the puzzle that clarifies certain ambiguous details about her family’s past.

For Netflix, Ortega has starred in a number of original series. She is most known for her performances as Katie Torres in Yes Day, Phoebe in The Babysitter: Killer Queen, and Ellie in You’s second season. In the well-known Jurassic World cartoon series Camp Cretaceous, she also provides Brooklyn’s voice.
