The new iPhone also got the highest overall display assessment rating as the iPhone includes a higher refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
As per the firm’s report, “The iPhone 13 Pro Max display meets all of the criteria and requirements for a DisplayMate A+ Grade, earning DisplayMate’s Highest Overall Display Assessment Rating and Highest Display Performance Grade of A+,”
As per the statement by DisplayMate, a series of tests were run to examine the features of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The phone has an XDR display with ProMotion. It also has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. When Apple launched the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the company stated that the phone will have the “best display ever” and will have a “fantastic” graphics performance.
Last year, the iPhone 12 Pro Max won the best smartphone display award. Well compared to this model, the iPhone 13 Pro Max does not have many changes in the display of the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Well, the latest model has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. That is it is 200 nits more than the 800 nits of peak brightness available on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both of the phones by Apple deliver up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness when you view it in HDR content. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has 1,050 nits of 100 percent average picture level (APL) in high ambient light. DisplayMate also said that the new model of 13 Pro Max has a color accuracy of around 0.5 Just Noticeable Colour Difference (JNCD). That means it is touted to be visually indistinguishable from perfect and is better even than any traditional Ultra-HD (4K) TV.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is said to be “perfectly sharp” for normal 20/20 vision at a typical smartphone viewing distance of 12 to 18 inches. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has 4.6 percent of minimal screen reflectance and is also said to consist of a vision accessibility display mode. It will help people with vision impairments.
Well, with the improved display power consumption on the iPhone 13 Max, the model has 25 percent higher display power efficiency than compared to the previous model of the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
