Final Destination 6’s Plot
The plotlines of all of the Final Destination films are identical. After someone engaged in a major accident has a premonition about their fate and prevents it from happening, a large number of young people find themselves trying to escape death.
Many people are killed in the disaster, but this person is able to save a few of those who were destined to die. However, after escaping a predetermined demise, the survivors begin dying one by one in a sequence of odd mishaps that are predicated on a convoluted chain of cause and effect that was started by Death itself.
Fans are doubtful if the Final Destination Reboot will be able to match the potential of its predecessors in light of claims that the upcoming movie would be a “re-imagining” of the franchise.
The franchise’s creator, Jeffrey Reddick, recently explained that the upcoming movie won’t be a straight reboot in an interview with Bloody Disgusting.
