India was proud of the Indian cricket team as they did great at their warm-ups of the T20 World Cup 2021. On Monday, October 18, Virat Kohli and his team was successful in defeating the England team. They won by seven wickets at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. The Indian team tracked down the target of 189 with one over to spare. After they won against England, the former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer was seen speaking about their performance.
Jaffer expressed how impressed he was with KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan. Both the players scored half-centuries and Kishan was sparkling 46-ball 70 with seven fours and three sixes. Also in the match we fans got to see Rahul carrying on from where he left off in the 2021 Indian Premier League. He got 51 runs off 24 balls with six fours and three sixes. Then Mark Wood went for his wicket. Jaffer was also seen lauding Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ravi Ashwin for playing so well with the ball.
3 things stood out in this win:

1: KL and Ishan with the bat.
2: Boom, Ash & Shami with the ball.
3: @MichaelVaughan staying offline😜#INDvENG #T20WorldCup
Shami got three wickets even as Bumrah got the scalp of Jonny Bairstow. Ashwin did not get to collect a wicket, but gave away only 23 runs in all the four overs. Well, the Indian former cricketer was also seen taking a funny dig at former England captain Michael Vaughan. He expressed how surprised he was as Vaughan was staying away from social media. Jaffer wrote on his official Twitter account saying, “3 things stood out in this win: 1: KL and Ishan with the bat. 2: Boom, Ash & Shami with the ball. 3: MichaelVaughan staying offline #INDvENG #T20WorldCup.”
Well, Vaughan also replied to Jaffer’s tweet with a funny message. The Englishman also said that results in warm-up matches are pretty much irrelevant and don’t hold much significance. He wrote, “Too busy drinking Rum on the beach Wasim … Btw … Warm up games are Irrelevant …” . Now that India has won against England there will be soon seen playing with Australia. The upcoming match is scheduled on Wednesday, October 20. The venue will remain the same.
Virat Kohli and Co. will soon be seen starting their campaign in the T20 World Cup. They will be accompanied by their Super 12 match against Pakistan. The match will begin on Sunday, October 24. The venue is the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
