Marvel Fans Are Eager for Captain Marvel 2, After It’s Trailer Was Dropped

A few lucky Marvel fans have already seen a preview of the Captain Marvel 2 before it hits theatres next summer. The trailer was only exhibited at the D23 Expo in September 2022; it has not yet been made available online.
The video demonstrated that the three leads in the upcoming film will switch locations anytime they use their powers, as hinted at in the Ms. Marvel credit scene. Back in January 2020, it was announced that a sequel was in the works, with Megan McDonnell, one of the writers on the Disney+ MCU series Wanda Vision, authoring the script.
However, there is a significant departure from the original film. Candyman director Nia Da Costa has taken over for Captain Marvel co-writers and co-directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. By selecting a Black woman to direct one of their films, Marvel has finally achieved a long-overdue first.

Release Date

In conclusion, The Marvels will be shown in theatres on July 28, 2023, and we hope that date will stand for the sequel.
A revision of the entire MCU schedule caused it to be postponed until February 17, 2023, from its original release date of July 2022. The Marvels was then moved to its current July release date in April 2022 after switching places with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
Given that the sequel’s filming was finished as of May 2022, with some reshoots in August 2022, we believe the release date will stand. However, as always, people change to release dates are still possible

Star Cast of Captain Marvel 2

We already knew that Brie Larson would return as Carol Danvers, and it was confirmed during the Disney Investor Day in December 2020 that she’ll be joined by some interesting new characters.
Teyonah Parris, who first played the part in Wanda Vision, will return as the adult Monica Rambeau, while Iman Vellani will play Kamala Khan, nicknamed Ms. Marvel, who made her Disney+ debut in the series of the same name.
In reality, Vellani admitted, she didn’t learn about her part in The Marvels until the day before it was officially released, while she was working on a night shoot.
Although Monica acquired superpowers due to the events of Wanda Vision, the term could also allude to Carol and Kamala as the two Captain Marvels. There might be another Captain Marvel in town because Monica was Captain Marvel in the comics before Carol.
The terrible revelation that Maria Rambeau passed away during the five years that Monica was dusted by the Snap was also confirmed by the show, which brings us back to Wanda Vision. So it appears that Lashana Lynch won’t be appearing in the sequel.
Lynch isn’t fully discounting a surprise cameo in the follow-up, though. “Stranger events have occurred in the franchise. On the first one, I had a lovely time, and it would be wonderful to have another excellent experience “August 2021, she stated.
Since then, Lynch has made another appearance in the MCU as Maria Rambeau, who is (or was) Captain Marvel in the Earth-838 realm in Doctor Strange 2. Let’s hope that opens the door for her to make an appearance in the sequel in some capacity.
Though it’s obvious that Monica and Carol have some problems to resolve (perhaps related to her absence from her mother), perhaps these difficulties will be discussed in flashbacks, in which case Lynch might return to the show in the same capacity.
Although it’s yet known who Zawe Ashton is playing, she will play the primary antagonist. She had best be strong or she won’t last long with perhaps three Captain Marvels to face.
Park Seo-joon from Parasite also makes his MCU debut in the follow-up, and a deleted Instagram post may have hinted that Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur will return as Kamala’s parents and siblings, Muneeba and Yusuf, respectively.
Minn-Erva, a Starforce member played by Gemma Chan, is the only character we can tell with certainty won’t return because the previous movie ended without any significant casualties.
We’d really like to see Nick Fury renew his friendship with Goose, and Samuel L. Jackson has seemingly confirmed that Fury will be back in August 2021. Goose will return for the sequel, according to the D23 Expo teaser film
