Netflix acquired the rights to Heart of Stone, a high-profile espionage action thriller starring Gal Gadot, after engaging in a very intense and contentious bidding war. Netflix will release the movie that was filmed in 2022 in 2023.
The film was created by the production company Sky dance Media, which is also known for important films including Top Gun: Maverick, The Old Guard, Annihilation, and Mission: Impossible: Fallout. Heart of Stone, a new female-focused espionage franchise that Netflix hopes will start, is similar to Mission: Impossible.
Tom Harper, a director who has previously worked on films including Peaky Blinders, The Aeronauts, Wild Rose, War & Peace, and others, will helm Netflix’s Heart of Stone. Greg Rucka, from “The Old Guard,” and Allison Schroeder, who won an Oscar for her work on “Hidden Figures,” wrote the script for “Heart of Stone.” The project’s director of photography will be George Steel.
Release Date
Heart of Stone was announced to be released sometime in 2023 during the first look teaser at the Netflix TUDUM event in 2022. Along with that announcement, we received a formal first look at the upcoming film.
The movie was then officially announced to be arriving on Netflix worldwide on August 11th, 2023.

Heart of Stone’s real plot, sadly, has been largely unknown for a long time, with the exception of the broad direction of a female-led Mission: Impossible or 007 franchise. But, thanks to Netflix, the plot has been given a little more development.
