MS Dhoni’s old video resurfaces online as Pakistan defeats India in T20 World Cup!

As India lost to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, with this, Pakistan has also registered their first-ever win over India in the World Cup match after their 12 attempts in Sunday’s game which was held at Dubai International Stadium. And soon after India’s defeat in the T20 world cup an old video of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India’s mentor for ICC T20 World Cup 2021, is going viral on social media platforms, as netizens are busy retweeting the video by agreeing with the words of Dhoni.

In the video which is going viral, it can be seen MS Dhoni talking about India’s winning streak against Pakistan. He is seen talking that this streak will eventually and if not today or tomorrow then fifty years down the line. The video which has now surfaced online once again and is getting viral from a post-match press conference, which was conducted in 2016. In the video, Mahendra Singh Dhoni said,  “But it is a fact that we will eventually lose at some point or the other. This record is not always going to be the same. If it did not happen today, then maybe after 10 years, 20 years, or even 50 years down the line, such an opportunity will definitely come.”

As soon as the video of MS Dhoni speaking the clear fact surfaced online, Twitter users have been sharing and spreading the video continuously, and are praising MS Dhoni for his foresightedness and practicality. There is no doubt that Dhoni has indeed spoken up the facts as in a game, it’s true that at a certain point, both the players or the teams experience failures. From the moment India has lost to Pakistan, there are some cricket fans out there who are criticizing the Indian team for the failure. And so the cricket fans are spreading this video so that those cricket fans who are criticizing the Indian team can understand the reality that one cannot keep a continuous streak of success in a game.

A Twitter user wrote, “Yes, this is what a sport is, you’ll win but can also lose. Nobody can keep up with a world record for too long. Pakistan had to break that record one time or another.. And they did it yesterday that too gracefully. They deserve all the appreciation. #IndiaVsPak #PAKvIND (sic),” as the user shared the video.

Another one commented, “Disappointed that  #India lost its first game of the #T20WorldCup2021 Even more disappointed to see all the abuse by so-called cricket fans to the players on social media. It’s a game for God’s sake & all players are human. They DO NOT DESERVE all this negativity & slander.  #indvspak”

Yet another user wrote, “No shame in losing to a team which looked hungry and focused to win last night… No shame in admitting that this Pakistan Team was playing to prove a point to the world which has shunned it away thanks to the politics played in their country. #INDvPAK #India #ICCT20WorldCup”

India suffered a 10-wicket defeat against Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Super 12 Group 2 match on Sunday, as Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam’s amazing batting skills proved as a boon for Pakistan.
