Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie Johnson have announced the birth of their second child, a healthy baby girl, who was born in 10 Downing Street in London. Mrs. Johnson and the Prime Minister are overjoyed to announce the birth of a healthy baby girl in a London hospital. “Both the mother and the daughter are doing fantastically well. “The couple would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful NHS [National Health Service] maternity staff for all of their help and support,” a spokeswoman said. The Baby is the 57-year-old Prime Minister’s seventh child, following the birth of Wilfred Johnson in April of last year. Carrie Johnson said that he was expecting a new sibling in an Instagram post in July when she also revealed that she experienced a miscarriage earlier this year.
The post read: “Hoping for our rainbow baby this Christmas. At the beginning of the year, I had a miscarriage which left me heartbroken. I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant again but I’ve also felt like a bag of nerves.” “Fertility issues can be really hard for many people, particularly when on platforms like Instagram it can look like everything is only ever going well. I found it a real comfort to hear from people who had also experienced loss so I hope that in some very small way sharing this might help others too,” she wrote.
In May of this year, Johnson married 33-year-old Carrie Johnson, previously Carrie Symonds, at a small ceremony in Westminster Cathedral. After a divorce from his Indian-origin ex-wife Marina Wheeler, with whom he has four children, Johnson married for the third time. He also has a child from an affair with art expert Helen Macintyre, who was born in 2009. With his first wife, Allegra Mostyn-Owen, he had no children. Carrie Johnson, a communications executive, and conservationist, earlier announced the name of their first-born Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson on Instagram, with Nicholas chosen as a homage to the two physicians who saved the UK prime minister’s life when he was sick with COVID-19 last year.
