Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) was a beloved actor by all. Everyone had seen the progress he made from a serial actor to a well-known celebrity. His success is indeed an inspiration for all. But everyone was so in shock and devastated by the news that the actor is no more and committed suicide on the 14th of June, 2020. The actor was found dead hanging from the ceiling fan at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. Everyone was in great shock as no one was able to believe that such a shining actor can commit suicide. The Mumbai police investigated this case, which led to many proofs but also many rumors too. The investigation has gone through the doubts that the death is a well-planned murder. So it has been confusion whether it’s a murder or a suicide?
The night before and on the day of death:
The night before Sushant’s death, around 2 a.m, he called his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and actor Mahesh Shetty, but the calls were not answered. He woke up early in the morning, and around 9 a.m he spoke to his sister, had a glass of juice, and took medicines. Around 11:30 a.m, his cook knocked on the door of his bedroom to ask for the menu but the actor didn’t respond. As Sushant used to live with his friends, his friends called the key maker and also his sister. When the door was opened, they found Sushant hanging from a ceiling fan and no death note was found. The time before his death, Sushant searched for some articles about bipolar disorder, painless death, and mental illness. Investigators also found that he was on anti-depression medications.
Theories and rumors:
Some many theories and rumors surrounded health in this case. These theories went around through nepotism, drugs, and the burden by the cinema industry on fresh and talented actors. Many names of famous stars and also some politicians were involved in this case. Some say that the actor’s death was a well-planned murder, some say that this death is caused due to the mental torture given by Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. The term ‘nepotism’ was used more often in this case as some believed that the mental torture given to Sushant was by big celebrities and directors (movie mafias) who wanted other actors’ kids to rise and shine rather than bringing up the real talents like Sushant. It is also known that the actor’s girlfriend Rhea did this just for money. Although Mumbai police said that there is clear proof of suicide, many people and fans say it was a murder and Sushant should get justice. Many people also linked Sushant’s manager Disha’s death case with this case too.Â
The fans and other people tried very hard to get justice for Sushant by protesting, by trending “#JusticeforSSR” and “#Nepotism” non-stop on Twitter. Some fans went in such a depressing state that even 2 of the fans committed suicide in the same way as the actor did. There were a lot of protests conducted. Even though it has been mentioned finally that it was suicide, still many fans believe that it was not justice given to him.
