Have you ever heard of twins born in two different years? It happened recently when a pair of twins who were born about 15 minutes apart had birthdays in different years. The first of the twins was born at 11:45 p.m. on New Year’s Eve (2021) in a rare case in California, and the second one arrived at exactly midnight in 2022. Fatima Madrigal and Robert Trujillo of Greenfield city gave birth to twins, a boy called Alfredo and his sister Aylin. “Baby Aylin Yolanda Trujillo was born at 12 a.m. In 2022, but get this her twin brother, Alfredo Antonio Trujillo, was born 15 minutes earlier in 2021,” the hospital, Natividad Medical Center, wrote on Facebook.
Ms. Madrigal also expressed her feelings on her babies having unique birthdays. “It’s crazy to me that they are twins and have different birthdays,” she was quoted as saying. “I was surprised and happy that she arrived at midnight. Both the babies are healthy and doing fine. At the time of their births, Aylin weighed 5 lbs, 14 oz (2.66 kg approx), and big brother Alfredo weighed 6 lbs, 1 oz (2.75 kg approx) Ms. Madrigal also expressed her feelings on her babies having unique birthdays.
“It’s crazy to me that they are twins and have different birthdays,” she was quoted as saying. “I was surprised and happy that she arrived at midnight.”This was probably one of the most memorable births of my career,” said Dr. Ana Abril Arias, who delivered the babies at the hospital. “It was an utter joy to assist these tiny ones in securely arriving here in 2021 and 2022,” she said. “What a fantastic way to begin the New Year.” There are three more children in the family two girls and a boy. Ms. Madrigal said the eldest is overjoyed to have a sibling, and the rest of the family is looking forward to the new members of the family.
