Tata Play is the new name for Tata Sky. Tata Play subscribers will be able to access Netflix through their Tata Binge+ membership. This is Tata Play’s OTT platform service. Tata Play members may now access content from Netflix, TV Channels, and the OTT aggregator app Binge with a single combination subscription. Tata Play is one of India’s largest Direct-To-Home (DTH) and Pay-Tv operators, therefore this partnership is important.
How Tata Play DTH subscribers will be able to watch Netflix ?
Tata Play DTH subscribers will be able to watch Netflix via 90 bundles starting today according to Netflix. The details of these plans can be seen here. Regular TV channels and Binge combination packs are also included in these packs. The service, however, will only be available through the Tata Play Binge+ Smart set-top box. Netflix will not be available to anyone using a standard set-top box. The Smart set top’s home screen and remote give easy access to Netflix and other OTT services.
Netflix Basic, Standard, and Premium plans ?
Netflix Basic, Standard, and Premium plans will be available to Tata Play DTH subscribers via the new combo packs. Subscribers will be able to pay for it with ease using Tata Play’s wallet. Money Heist, Squid Game, Stranger Things, Minnal Murali, Dhamaka, Aranyak, and Red Notice, according to Netflix, will be available to Tata Play DTH subscribers.
The Binge+ Smart set-top box cost?
The Binge+ Smart set-top box costs Rs 2,499 (not including monthly payments of Rs 299 for Tata Play Binge, which grants access to OTT apps) and features 1080p resolution, built-in Chromecast, and a Google Assistant-powered voice search Remote. It offers Live TV through satellite or the internet, as well as access to the Google Play Store’s 5000+ apps and games.
Storage ?
With Tata Play Record Plan, includes 2GB RAM and 8GB storage and can record up to 25 hours of television. Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, and Eros Now are already included in the plan, but you must pay a monthly fee of Rs 299 to use them.
If you already have a membership to Amazon Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar, or another service, you can use your smart set-to-top box to access it.
