Adele has finally revealed details of her Las Vegas residency after months of silence and weeks of whispers. The day before her Weekends with Adele concerts was supposed to begin in January, they were abruptly postponed.
The residency will now start on November 18 and run until March 25. The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where the acts were originally scheduled, will host them. The singer Adele said in a statement on her website, “After what feels like an age of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!”
Eight more dates have been revealed in addition to the 24 rescheduled shows. Priority will be given to purchasers of tickets for the original show dates, as well as those who previously registered for or were placed on a waitlist for the Weekends with Adele verified fan presale on Ticketmaster. Ticket sales are scheduled to begin on August 10.
In an emotional Instagram post, Adele abruptly canceled her initial residency, blaming COVID-related supply chain problems and widespread discontent with the show in its then-current form.
The singer made uncertain comments about the residency on “The Graham Norton Show” in February and at her most recent concert in Hyde Park, London, so fans have been waiting for news from her for months. Many of these fans purchased tickets through third-party sellers and are unable to receive refunds until new dates or a cancellation were announced.
How relatable Adele is?
Fans adore the performer’s sincerity. Adele said in an interview with BBC Radio 4 in England earlier this month that she understands that some of her fans were disappointed by the delay but doesn’t regret her choice to retool the show.
The “Easy on Me” singer said as much in her most recent statement, stating, “I know for some of you it was a terrible decision on my part and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the correct one. The thing I’ve most been looking forward to each week is spending time with you in such a private setting, and I’ll give it my all for you.
