Dattatraya Lohar from Devrashtre village caught the attention and went super viral recently. He grabbed the attention of many people online, including Anand Mahindra too. He grabbed the attention of Anand Mahindra last month after a video of his iron car went viral. Lohar’s car was actually built from scratch. It was also powered by a two-wheeler engine. The auto-rickshaw tyres, attached to it, and overall look may have looked like a rugged jeep. But that was effective enough to wow all the people online.
“I’ll personally offer him a Bolero in exchange,” the business tycoon had tweeted, saying that time. He said that the local authorities will sooner or later stop him from plying the vehicle. They will do so for flouting regulations.
Anand Mahindra promised to preserve the man’s creation at Mahindra Research Valley. The well known business tycoon on Tuesday gave an update. He updated that the man accepted their offer and he was then given a new SUV in exchange.
“Yesterday his family received the Bolero & we proudly took charge of his creation. It will be part of our collection of cars of all types at our Research Valley & should inspire us to be resourceful,” the business tycoon wrote. He also shared a few heartwarming images of the blacksmith looking happy with his new SUV.
The photos showcased Lohar along with his wife and children riding in their new family car.
As the video of his unusual vehicle went viral, the talented man had explained the reason to build the car. He explained that he built the car for his children. His children wanted to ride a four-wheeler. However, because of financial problems, he couldn’t afford one.
“This clearly doesn’t meet with any of the regulations but I will never cease to admire the ingenuity and ‘more with less’ capabilities of our people. And their passion for mobility—not to mention the familiar front grille,” the businessman had written as he shared the video.
As usual, people were quite happy with the sweet gesture of the businessman. The tycoon never fails to impress the internet by fulfilling the promise. People on social media loved Mahindra’s gesture. People also believed that the man’s car surely would inspire many engineers in years. It would inspire to come to build something as innovative as his creation.
