Who is returning from Avatar 2’s cast in Avatar: The Way of Water?

The original Avatar’s main cast members are all under contract, therefore they will all be present when the movie is released.

Neytiri, the princess of the Na’vi, will once again be played by Zoe Saldaa, while Jake Sully, the human-turned-Na’vi, will once again be played by Sam Worthington.

The deceased Colonel Miles Quaritch comes returned as Stephen Lang, and he will serve as the four films’ major antagonist. In the follow-up, he claimed, he’ll be able to “truly go to town and analyse the character in detail” (via The National).
