Bullet Train: Everything We Need to Know About the Trailer, Story, and Release Date

David Leitch has worked on the stunt crew for numerous blockbusters and popular television programs, including Fight Club, 300, Tron: Legacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He is a seasoned professional in the field. After collaborating with Chad Stahelski to co-direct the Keanu Reeves blockbuster John Wick in 2014, Leitch’s name gained widespread recognition in the community. Since then, Leitch has established himself as one of the industry’s most in-demand action directors and a talented producer.

Atomic Blonde, starring Charlize Theron, was Leitch’s first solo effort in 2017. The highly-anticipated superhero sequel Deadpool 2 was directed by Leitch the following year, while Hobbs & Shaw, a Fast & Furious spinoff, was under his direction the year after. Despite his alleged “downtime. Leitch will continue to rule the action movie market in 2022 with Bullet Train, a movie that boasts a stellar cast, an intriguing plot, and the promise of some explosive action. This movie has all the makings of a massive smash and could even start a franchise.” Other action movies that Leitch has produced include Kate, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and the Bob Odenkirk vehicle Nobody.

Bullet Train Release date

Warner Bros. has announced that Bullet Train will be released in theatres on July 29, 2022. The production firm picked May 2021 as the release date when the movie was initially announced in 2019. This was before COVID-19 forced companies to rearrange their release schedules and close movie theatres for months at a time. It was moved from May to July 2022, which resulted in an additional brief delay in early 2022. The summertime release of Bullet Train makes it the ideal time for kids to watch it in its entirety while on vacation. Before being on HBO Max, it will be in theatres for 45 days.

The cast of Bullet Train

One of the assassins aboard the titular bullet train, Ladybug, is by Brad Pitt in a significant role. Since winning the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, this will be Pitt’s first acting role. Additionally, it will mark Pitt’s first action-focused performance since he co-starred with Marion Cotillard in Robert Zemeckis’ 2016 WWII romantic action-thriller Allied. Additionally, Pitt had a brief appearance as Vanisher, an X-Force member, in Leitch’s superhero sequel Deadpool 2. Damien Chazelle’s high-profile historical drama Babylon, in which Pitt will play alongside Margot Robbie, Jean Smart, Tobey Maguire, Olivia Wilde, and Jovan Adepo, is another project Pitt has coming up.

He most recently appeared in The Lost City, a Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum double feature. Pitt has also recently been linked to several other high-profile projects. He will be reuniting with his Ocean’s Eleven co-stars George Clooney in a thriller that has yet to be given a name and is being helmed by Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts. Apple acquired the project after a protracted bidding war. Joey King, who plays Prince, another assassin, will appear with Pitt in Bullet Train. King has kept herself busy lately, appearing in the popular The Kissing Booth series on Netflix and earning an Emmy nod for her portrayal of Gypsy Rose Blanchard in the Hulu True-Crime limited series The Act.

Other cast members:

Currently, King is working on several projects, including the action movie The Princess from 20th Century Studios and Hulu and the YA movie Uglies from filmmaker McG, among others. The project also includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who will play Tangerine. Johnson has experience working on big-budget movies and acting in films like Kick-Ass, Godzilla, Tenet, and Outlaw King. For his insane performance in Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals, he got a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. Johnson is working on several significant projects, including the lead part in Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff Kraven The Hunter, directed by Triple Frontier director J.C. Chandor.

In the movie, Brian Tyree Henry will also play the assassin Lemon. In Chloe Zhao’s Eternals, Henry played Phaistos, the first openly gay superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He has also had supporting roles in blockbuster movies like Godzilla vs. Kong and The Woman In The Window. The PTSD drama Red, White and Water by Lila Neugebauer, starring Jennifer Lawrence at A24, and the FX on Hulu limited series Class of ’09, in which he will co-star with Kate Mara, are following projects for Henry. Alongside Donald Glover and LaKeith Stanfield, he just returned to the critically acclaimed FX series Atlanta for its third season in the role of Paper Boi.

The plot of Bullet Train

Based on the Japanese novel by Ktar Isaka, Bullet Train takes place on a Japanese Train. Well, as it travels quickly from Tokyo to Morioka with few stops. Five assassins are in the car, each with their tasks to complete. They don’t realize it, yet they’re all related. On their route to learning the truths that await them at their destination. The killers must compete for survival against one another. Well, once they grasp what is happening.

The plot seems to promise a lot of harsh and nonstop action. And undoubtedly has elements of the John Wick series. The final rating of the movie will be intriguing to watch. Even though, save from Hobbs & Shaw, all of Leitch’s films have had an R classification. Sony may want to try for a PG-13 rating to draw in younger audiences.
