In 1993, he featured as Group Captain Barker in the two-part TV mini-series Over Here and as Dick Dobson in Demob, a film about two demobilized soldiers who must adjust to civilian life after entertaining Second World War troops with a raunchy cabaret act.
He has been a regular participant or guest presenter on the BBC One panel show Have I Got News for You since 1994.
