An upcoming American supernatural horror film based on exorcism is The Exorcist. David Gordon Green directed the movie. The movie, which will be a successor to the cult hit released in 1973, is based on a 1971 book authored by William Peter Blatty.
The movie will have an impact on the plot’s progression, but it will also continue the other movies’ narrative. It will be the sixth overall installment and the first new installment in the Exorcist series.

On October 13, 2023, Universal Pictures will release The Exorcist movie. In Savannah, Atlanta, and Georgia, filming on the movie began on October 24, 2022, and it was finished in January 2023.
Although Green had intended to begin work on the movie as soon as Halloween Ends was finished, the actress’s advanced age and the pandemic caused a few minor issues, which the production team had to work around so that Burstyn could finish the movie. Plot and Cast of The Exorcist
The plot of the untitled The Exorcist movie has not been disclosed by the filmmakers. L Leslie Odom Jr. plays the character of the father of a possessed child who tracks down Chris in the cast, which also included Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil. Although Ann Dowd was a part of the movie, the identity of her character has not yet been revealed.
