Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh hints at a comeback next year from retirement!

In a surprising post former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has finally announced that he is coming out of retirement and will soon return to the field by next year in February. Yuvraj announced through a post he uploaded on Instagram. Yuvraj shared a short clip of his final century in India colors, the time when he blasted 150 against England in Cuttack. He shared the video and wrote, “on public demand” he will be back on the pitch “hopefully in February”. He also urged the fans to support the Indian team after they lost both of the opening matches in T20 World Cup 2021 against Pakistan and New Zealand. 

In a late-night post on Instagram, Yuvraj announced that he will be back playing Cricket in February 2022, which has left everyone amazed and surprised by the sudden announcement. He wrote, “God decides your destiny!! On public demand, I will be back on the pitch hopefully in February! Ain’t nothing like this feeling! Thank you for your love and wishes to mean a lot to me! keep supporting India, it’s our team and a true fan will show his or her support in tough Times”  fans have started assuming that maybe the two-time World Cup winner is resuming his professional career 2 years after he announced his retirement. 

But still, he hasn’t clarified in what capacity he is making his comeback. The 39-year-old former all-rounder announced his international retirement in 2019 but still continued playing in leagues across the globe. Yuvraj Singh was lastly seen in action at the series of road safety world in March this year where he also represented India legend. 

Well after the sudden announcement made by Yuvraj Singh, the fans can’t control themselves and they have been excited and to share this excitement they are taking to social media to celebrate the news. Especially on Twitter people are sharing their happiness of his comeback.

A Twitter user wrote, “Wait, whatttt! Am I reading this right? Will the G.O.A.T be back? Yuvraj Singh, the best middle-order batsman for team India to date! This is literally the best news I have heard this year!” While the other user wrote, “If he does truly come back to don blue Jersey, I don’t know how I am going to survive……Can’t wait to see this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Yet another user said, “surprise surprise, the king is coming back onto the field in February. The man who played a very big role in the 2007 T20 world cup and 2011 world cup. Hero of two ICC main events for team India. Goosebumps moment for all cricket fans!”

Well, some cricket fans were really happy after hearing the comeback news, some also wanted Dhoni to make a comeback along with Yuvraj. Regarding this, a netizen tweeted, “along with #YuvrajSingh we need Dhoni too, we need our batting and finishing line up to be strong with @YUVSTRONG12 and @msdhoni, @BCCI, please make #dhonicomeback to make team perfect balance and train youngsters on the field also Yuvi, Mahi deserves to retire in India.” Similarly, many other Indian cricket fans wanted a Dhoni to come back to make the team even more good, according to them. 

The former all-rounder was the player of the tournament as India won the 2011 ODI World Cup. He has also played a vital role in the team becoming champions at the inaugural World T20 in 2007 as well. During his storied career, Yuvraj has played 40 tests, 304 ODIs, and 58 T20Is and he has also scored 11,778 runs across formats and taken 148 wickets as well. Well, this unexpected yet happy news announced by Yuvi himself is surely the best news Indian cricket fans have received for sure!
