India gets its first satellite and nuclear missile tracking ship: INS Dhruv! Know more details here

India is now fully ready to launch its first satellite and nuclear missile tracking ship which is named INS Dhruv. This will be considered as a great boost to India’s naval warfare. This missile tracking ship is ready to launch on Friday. This ship is now expected to work from Visakhapatnam which is located in Andhra Pradesh and this will be commissioned under the presence of major officials of the Indian Navy and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and National Technical Research Organisation-NTRO, and also including other officials. 

The 10,000-tonne vessel can be said as the heart of India’s future anti-nuclear capabilities. This ship will surely play an important role to advance India’s presence in the Indo-Pacific region. And also the ship INS Dhruv will be added latest leaked the collection of Indian Navy’s armory. This ship was built by the Hindustan shipyard and collaborated with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO). The ship is furnished with many features that indeed make it a state-of-the-art instrument in modern marine defense. 

Some of the features of INS Dhruv :

Due to the ship’s anti-ballistic missile capabilities, INS Dhruv surely has a key point of an early warning system for enemy missiles. So if an enemy missile is headed towards the cities and any other military establishments then this early warning system will be proved as helpful.

INS Dhruv also contains a brand new active scanned array radar ASEA which is developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation. This active scanned array radar will help to scan many spectrums and to keep an eye on spy satellites that are watching over India. This will also help to keep an eye on the missile tests conducted in the entire region. as it helps to track nuclear missiles at a long range it becomes India’s first naval ship that is capable of doing so. This will have the capability to assume significance along with the increase in the threat of nuclear ballistic warfare in the indo-pacific region. And in addition to all these features, the ship is also stacked up with all the capabilities to map down the ocean beds for Research and to detect the submarines of enemies. 

Along with the launch of this ship, India is expecting its presence in the Indo-Pacific region. India’s now also expecting that it will benefit the country if INS through is added to their collection of naval warfare instruments. Let’s know how this will benefit the country.

This naval ship will help and will also play an important role in India’s naval awareness of the Indo Pacific origin. This is because it will be commissioned at a time when there will be an arrival of the era of surveillance drones with the use of advanced submarines and underwater warfare. 

For now, China and Pakistan have harbor land-related problems with India and they are also fulfilled with nuclear ballistic capabilities. So in such a situation, INS Dhruv will be proved as a great step in India as a fortification, and also it is a great development in the maritime security architecture. As it includes the brand new detection facilities it’s proven to be helpful for India’s Defence.

The naval ship monitors the spy satellites across many spectrums and this will help the Indian Navy to keep an eye on the entire region which starts from the Gulf of Aden to the South China Sea and the route goes through via Malacca, Sunda, Lombok, Ombai, and Wetar straits. So now the National Technical Research Organisation will be able to collect more data of these regions to look out for the threats. 

India’s Nuclear missile tracking ship will now be manned by strategic forces command along with Indian Navy personnel.
