Kohli was all set to play his 200th IPL match and was looking forward to it. He is the only player to do it for a single franchise. Indeed KKR vs RCB are strong teams and an amazing performance was given by KKR. RCB lost by nine wickets. Russell 3-9, Chakravarty 3-13 restricted RCB to a modest 92. Gill was brutal to RCB bowlers and he scored 48 runs in 34 balls including 6 fours and 1 six. Chahal got his wicket. In the end, Venkatesh Iyer finishes it in style with a sweep shot.
Initially, Kohli won the toss and went to bat first. Nothing went right for Kohli’s men. They kept losing wickets. Later RCB bowled out for 92 in 19 overs! RCB star players Virat, Maxwell, and ABD couldn’t do much and were sent back to the pavilion at 5, 10 & 0 respectively.Â
From KKR, Chakravarthy and Russell took 3-3 wickets. Ferguson took 2 wickets and Prasidh took 1 wicket of Kohli.
KKRÂ chased 92Â very comfortably as Gill and Venkatesh played fabulously. Both gave a good start and almost chased the whole total. In the 10th over Chahal took a wicket of Gill. Gill narrowly missed his half-century as he was sent back to the pavilion at 48 runs. But Venkatesh finishes the job in the same over by back-to-back fours. KKR chased the score in mere 10 overs.Â
There was not much effect on the points table for RCB as they are still in 3rd position but on other hand, KKR jumps to 5th position from 7th position.
