All We Know About ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ Season 2

The Korean series Extraordinary Attorney Woo has established itself as one of the most appropriately named Netflix originals ever, surpassing The Sandman in popularity as more viewers tuned in.

This story of a talented lawyer named Woo Young-woo navigating life while on the autism spectrum has quickly become one of the best Korean TV exports of all time.

This endearing legal drama has amassed an astounding 67 million viewing hours in its sixth week on Netflix, after reaching 24 million in its first week, while not quite reaching the levels of Squid Game (at least not yet).

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is also currently the eighth-most watched non-English series on Netflix.

What you want to know is when the narrative of this amazing young attorney will be continued in new episodes.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo season 2 Release date

For this one, we have some good news! It seems that preparations for season two have already begun. Just be prepared to wait a little while.

Season two of Extraordinary Attorney Woo will be produced, according to Lee, who thanked all supporters. Season two is expected to premiere in 2024. Despite the undeniably favourable ground it is now on, it is not yet formally happening. Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s South Korean broadcaster, ENA, has acknowledged ongoing negotiations about a potential second season, though nothing is finalised now. If it does, a 2024 release date appears extremely likely.

Every step of the journey, we’ll keep you informed.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo' Season 2

This is fantastic news for the lead actress Park Eun-bin in particular, who revealed that she hadn’t anticipated such a warm reception. The overwhelming positivity was more of a shock than anything else. According to Lee Sang-prior baek’s declaration, no cast members or production crew members will be changed if possible, according to NME’s reporting and Soompi’s translation. Plans have been made to keep “more than 90% of the same people” of Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s staff.

The plot of Extraordinary Attorney Woo season 2

CEO Lee Sang-baek reportedly told The Korea Herald that screenwriter Moon Ji-won is on board to pen a potential second season if it goes into production. Ji-won will undoubtedly have numerous difficulties in the future if this is the case.

The actor who portrays Young-romantic woo’s interest Lee Jun-ho, Kang Tae-oh, will soon report for his conscription. All Korean men must enlist by age 28 if they are physically capable. Therefore next episodes may need to accommodate an extended absence for this important character.

The debate over how the show portrays autism is another factor to consider. Overall, the autistic community’s reactions have varied. Some have praised the show, for some belief it to be an accurate and fair representation of a person with autism spectrum disorder, while others disagree.

In the future, these replies will likely need to be here to make season two as accurate and respectful as possible. Leading lady Park Eun-bin gave this a lot of thought when she first applied for the role. In actuality, Park declined the part several times before finally saying yes.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo' Season 2

In the interim, three episodes from Extraordinary Attorney Woo will be ready as the basis for a new musical adaptation of Woo’s story (according to a press release from EMK Musical Company). So, expanding on this effort would be even more enjoyable.

There have also been suggestions about translating the show into English.
