James Lance Bass (/baes/; born May 4, 1979) is an American actor. He is a singer, dancer, actor, film, and television producer from the United States. He was born in Mississippi and rose to stardom as the bass singer for NSYNC, an American boy band. Bass has worked in film and television due to NSYNC’s fame. His business, Bacon & Eggs, also produced the 2001 film On the Line, in which he starred. Bass went on to start a second production firm, Lance Bass Productions, and a now-defunct music management company, Free Lance Entertainment, which was a joint venture with Mercury Records.
