Manish Narwal gets the gold in mixed 50 metre pistol and Singhraj gets silver medal for the country

Currently, India’s medal tally is 15 at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 as Manish Narwal and shooter Singhraj finished with the 1-2 in the mixed 50 m SH 1 shooting final which was conducted on Saturday. The 19-year-old shooter Manish got the gold medal with a new Paralympic record set of 218.2. Indian shooter Singhraj won his second medal at the prestigious games of Tokyo Paralympics and this time he received a silver medal with 216.7. The battle was really tight and when the 39-year-old player Singhraj got the medal by winning in the 10 m air pistol SH 1 bronze earlier this week many fans showed how proud they were and he again made his fans proud by getting a silver medal for the country. In the match this week he pipped the ROC’s Sergey Malyshev who finished with a bronze medal. 

Also the 39-year-old player punched the air in delight after he got the second medal at the Tokyo Paralympic shooting games. Talking about the Indian shooter Manish Narwal, he holds the world record in the mixed 50 m pistols SH1 event. He was consistently beating his opponent and then he overtook Malyshev. He was in the gold medal position until the fifth series of the elimination stage which was conducted in the final on Saturday for Manish Narwal short 10.8 and 10.5 in a series that helped him to get the position of number 1 and also to get the gold medal for the country. 

Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra took to social media to congratulate Manish Narwal and Singhraj for their amazing performance in the Paralympic games. Lauding the 1-2 finish, Abhinav Bindra and Doordarshan sports congratulated the two shooters from India. As per the records, it was India’s fifth medal in the sport of shooting in the procedures games of Tokyo Paralympics as Avani Lekhara had also got gold, as well as a bronze medal to go with Manish’s, is a gold medal and Singhraj’s twin medals are the shooting games conducted in the Tokyo Paralympics. Now the gold medal tally of India has gone up to 3 and also the total medal tally of India is up to 15 which is 11 more than their previous best Tally at the Paralympic Games.
