CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg announced recently that his social media company Facebook is now rebranded and will be known as Meta. Mark Zuckerberg explained that the name ‘Meta’ has been given to Facebook as it reflects its work investing in the metaverse. The department of Iceland Tourism made a Facebook post of the mock video. “Introducing—the Icelandverse. The next evolution of social connection, millions of years in the making #icelandverse,” the department wrote as they shared the hilarious video. Well, in the video, it shows a man talking about Iceland just the way which is similar to how Mark Zuckerberg presented Meta during a virtual meeting.
The man in the video says, “Today I want to talk about a revolutionary approach to connect our world without being super weird. Some said it’s not possible. Some said it’s out of reach. To them, we say it’s already here. Seriously. Look, it’s right here,” the presenter points out the window to a breathtaking real view of snow-covered Icelandic mountains. Well if you think that the mocking stopped here, no, it’s not! They also recreated a funny viral moment from 2020, when Mark Zuckerberg was named as he used excessive sunscreen. So the presenter smeared some blue mud all over his face to show an apparent reference to it. Instead of an electric surfboard, the man was seen enjoying the country’s natural thermal pool.
