But yet he received all the love from netizens. Because netizens loved the way he didn’t sugarcoat his words to such anti-vaxxers.
Mexican TV anchor Leonardo Schwebel was hosting a show on Telediario Guadalajara. At the very moment, he lost his control and started slamming anti-vaxxers. He slammed the ones who opposed the vaccination and refused to get vaccinated. As per the translation given by Business Insider, “If you’re anti-vax, you’re a moron,” Schwebel said in Spanish.
“Stop with your bull***t, and at least put on a goddamned face mask!” he added during the sudden blasts against them on camera. Then he also demonstrated how to wear masks properly.
“Sometimes it is necessary to shout,” Schwebel was then quoted by the news outlet. The news outlet shared the clips of his furious rant. Well the video didn’t take much time to get viral on social media. “If I had said it normally – ‘sir, please, please, put on the mask, I ask you please, believe me,’ I would not be here with you today,” he was quoted.
The senior news anchor stressed these messages are important. He said that the country is witnessing a surge in Covid-19 infections. It is important to take vaccines to control the spread. He also expressed how baffling it is that people still don’t use masks properly. He said “in the start of the pandemic, there are still people who do not use the face mask well or follow hygiene measures”.
We may have seen many such news anchors who lost control over their temper. But it’s either due to a debate happening or the arguments between two people. Well, this one can’t be actually compared to them for sure. And thus the netizens loved it! Well, It may seem unusual for journalists to lose their temper on camera. But Schwebel definitely earned fans from far and wide. US late-night TV show hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert dedicated small segments to Schwebel. Jimmy and Stephen thanked him for his outspoken way to slam anti-vaxxers. He slammed the anti-vaxxers all of a sudden. And Netizens thought it was necessary.
Many netizens from Mexico and also all around the world also lauded him for his rant. The netizens said that it’s high time now. That the world joined their forces against anti-vaxxers and defeated Covid-19. The Twitter got filled with many reactions of Netizens, all encouraging and loving.
