Moto launched its new phone in the Indian market on 17th August. The super stylish and premium-looking phone, Moto Edge 20, is priced at Rs29,999. The phone has a very retro look due to its boxy design with sharp edges. The phone is only 6.9 mm thick, making it the slimmest phone in the market. It comes with the latest and most powerful mid-range processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 778G, and is India’s first phone to come with that processor. It is an efficient processor based on the 6nm architecture. It is paired with an Adreno 642L GPU, which works great.
The build quality of the phone is quite good. It comes in an aluminum frame, with the back being polycarbonate. The front is a 6.7 inch OLED screen, which comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The screen of Moto Edge 20 has a 144 Hz refresh rate and 576 Hz touch sampling rate, which is the highest in the world. The phone feels solid in hand and looks premium, although a glass back would have been appreciated. The side bezels of the screen are very thin, although the chin could have been somewhat thinner. The phone comes with a 4000 mAh lithium-ion battery, which can power the phone for a day with average usage. The phone supports fast charging and comes with a 30 W fast charger out of the box. That said, the battery could have been bigger, but the manufacturer had to cut corners to keep the phone slim. The phone has an under-display optical fingerprint scanner that works accurately and quickly. All other necessary sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, etc., are also present.
The phone accepts dual nano sims and has 5G capabilities. It supports 11 5G bands which are pretty impressive, and hence this device can be called a future-proof device. It supports dual 5G, that is 5G on both sims. The Moto Edge 20 also has the latest Wifi version. The phone has support for NFC as well, facilitating a lot of convenience features.
The Moto Edge 20 comes with a triple rear camera setup. It has a 108 MP main camera, a 16 MP ultrawide camera, and an 8 MP telephoto lens. The setup includes a dual-tone, dual-LED flash.
