Best 5-step Night skincare routine for women

Step 1: To remove makeup

If you sleep with your makeup on it can cause acne or any other skin irritations. So start your night skincare routine with a gentle makeup remover.

Step 2: Cleanse

Now after removing your makeup, it is necessary to cleanse your skin with a gentle cleanser. If you clean your skin before going on to the next step then your skin will be able to absorb nutrients from the products. The cleanser also helps to get rid of the dead skin, pollutants, oils, dirt, and bacteria. Avoid cleansers that contain sulfates and look for the ones that will suit your needs. Like for dry skin, hydrating cleansers are good and for oily skin, a cleanser with salicylic acid is good.

Step 3: Toner

Toner is the most important skincare step. As most people think that the toner is completely useless it’s not like that. Toner helps to make your skin healthier as it balances pH level and moisturizes the skin. It will also add glow to your skin. Choosing toner which contains vitamin E will help to moisturize your skin and soothe the skin.

Step 4: Eye cream

Eye creams are beneficial to avoid dullness and puffiness and will help to tighten the skin under the eyes. Just apply eye cream gently around your eyes. Try to choose eye creams that contain ingredients like peptides. Also, eye creams containing hyaluronic acid will help to lock moisture.

Step 5: Serum

Serums are useful to repair your skin and reduce any redness if present. It also helps to moisturize your skin and make your skin soft and avoids any skin pigmentation. A serum will provide a lot of active ingredients to your face. Apply a small amount of serum on your face and massage gently so that your skin absorbs it deeply. Serum which contains green tea is good for acne-prone skin and serum which contains hydraulic acid and peptides is helpful for dehydrated skin.

Step 6: Moisturizer

Moisturizer is an important step of the night skincare routine as it will finally hydrate your skin and seal the hydration. Apply a small amount of moisturizer on your face and massage gently for the best results. Moisturizers with glycerine are really good. 

Step 7: Spot treatment

Spot treatments are used if you are experiencing acne. It’s better to use spot treatment after you have applied moisturizer so that the product is on top of the pimple. Spot treatment which contains salicylic acid is good. If the spot treatment ingredients contain benzoyl peroxide it is also good as it will kill the acne-causing bacteria.
