A six-part natural history, Our Universe series, will be added to Netflix’s expanding natural history library.

The series, created by BBC Studios, explores the relationships that power the natural world around us using CGI technology. Andrew Cohen is the executive producer, and Mike Davis is the showrunner.

It is one of six new documentaries that Netflix has ordered; they will be available on the streaming site in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Here is all there is to know about our universe. Six new docuseries, including two narrated by Oscar winner Morgan Freeman and a follow-up to Our Planet, have been added to Netflix’s natural history lineup.

On Tuesday, November 22, the six-part documentary series will be available on Netflix. It will only be accessible through the streaming service.

The cast of Our Universe  

Morgan Freeman lends his recognizable voice to Our Universe. He has previously films, including March of the Penguins, The Shawshank Redemption, and War of the Worlds. In Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty, he even played God. Fans of Morgan’s calming voice will thus be happy to learn that he is also narrating this documentary series, offering some important insights along the way.

The plot of Our Universe  

The new documentary’s official Netflix synopsis reads: “From BBC Studios comes this extraordinary six-part series, an epic tale 13.8 billion years in the making, told by Academy Award-winner Morgan Freeman.

It takes viewers on a fascinating voyage to investigate the links that drive our natural world by fusing breathtaking animal videos with jaw-dropping cosmic special effects.

Our Universe combines cutting-edge animation to dramatize the excellent astronomical forces that formed our solar system, from the creation of the Sun to the birth of a sea turtle, during the modern camera and CGI technology up-close-and-personal with some of the most iconic, captivating species on Earth. 45-minute, 6-part The first episode of Our Universe will be streamed. The Freeman-narrated BBC Studios production combines wildlife video with “cosmic special effects” to take viewers through the relationships that underlie our natural world.

Our Universe employs animation to depict the astronomical forces that created our solar system, from the birth of the sun to the birth of a sea turtle, while the cutting-edge camera and CGI technology up-close and personal with some of the most iconic, captivating species on Earth.

Freeman will also serve as the narrator for the eight 60-minute Life On Our Planet episodes, which will air next year on Silverback Films, Amblin Television, and Industrial Light & Magic.

Other details :

The documentary explores life’s titanic struggle to establish itself and exist on Earth and how 99% of its original inhabitants have vanished into the past. The television series will examine the rise and fall of these dynasties.

Our Planet II, by natural history aficionado David Attenborough, is also ready to make its debut in 2023. So, it will explore the secrets behind animal migration to present some of the natural world’s most dramatic and intriguing tales.

Silverback Films is also the producer of this four-part, 50-minute series.

Three new episodes have been here, all of which will be executive by James Honeyborne and come from the production companies Freeborne Media and Wild Space.

In 2024, Our Oceans and Our Living World will debut, and in 2025, Our Water World is ready to do the same.

“Nature films can help us explore, discover, and appreciate the majesty and complexity of the world around us,” said Adam Del Deo, Netflix’s VP of documentary series. So, the stories are endless and cover the entire timeline of human history, from the earliest beginnings of the Earth to the current settings we inhabit to the world we are building for the future. Also, these cinematic documentaries use spectacular filmmaking and cutting-edge technology to put even the most exotic or tiniest species of the natural world at our fingertips.
