Actor Priyanka Chopra along with the singer-actor husband Nick Jonas celebrated Diwali together with much fervor in their Los Angeles home. The actor posted a series of photos as she and Nick Jonas perform the Diwali Puja at their home. Priyanka Chopra looked gorgeous in a yellow saree on the other hand Nick slayed the look with embroidered white kurta. Well, looking at the photo it seems like Priyanka and Nick’s Lakshmi puja was full of fun and laughter for sure!
As she posted the series of amazing photos of the celebration on Instagram she captioned it which reads, “Ya Devi sarvabhuteshu Lakshmi rupena sangsthita. Namastasye namastasye namastasye namo namaha. With the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi, we invite Her grace and abundance into our home. Happy Diwali.”
As soon as Priyanka shared the photos of this amazing celebration on her Instagram account, fans gushed over Priyanka and Nick in the comment section for her post. The ladies looked gorgeous in the traditional yet elegant wear, and of course full of laughter and fun. The guest list included Priyanka Chopra, Lilly Singh Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Meena Harris, and others, who attended this high-profile event. This shows that even though Priyanka Chopra has moved to the US, our Desi girl will never forget to celebrate the Indian festivals and follow her tradition.
Well, we all know that Priyanka never forgets to follow her tradition even though she is out of India, and even Nick Jonas supports her a lot. In addition to this, recently on Victoria’s secret’s VS Voices podcast, Priyanka talked about her inner faith marriage with Nick Jonas and she said that they are on the same page spiritually. She said that even Nick Jonas asks her to perform Puja every time they start something big.
“I do a lot of pujas in the house which are prayer ceremonies. Nick usually asks me to do them whenever we are starting something big because that is how I have always started something auspicious in my life, with a prayer of thanks. I have had that upbringing and he has had that upbringing and we have sort of created that within our family as well,” she said.
Priyanka Chopra returned to Los Angeles recently after she wrapped up the Spain schedule of the Amazon series Citadel. The show, featuring Richard Madden, is executive produced by the Russo brothers. For other projects include The Matrix: Resurrections, text for you, and a wedding comedy with Mindy. Civil also executive produced an unscripted wedding theme series along with her husband Nick Jonas. Priyanka has also announced her Bollywood comeback with the film Jee Le Zara, as she will share the screen with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. The film is directed by Farhan Akhtar and the story revolves around a road trip.
