In 2022, Noah Baumbach will release a new film titled White Noise, reuniting him with Greta Gerwig, Baumbach’s partner, and regular collaborators Adam Driver.

With movies like Marriage Story and Frances Ha, Baumbach has established himself as a director who consistently intrigues viewers, and White Noise appears prepared to do the same. Based on Don DeLillo’s 1985 novel of the same name, Noah Baumbach’s apocalyptic black comedy, White Noise, will be released in 2022. On January 13, 2021, it was out that Noah Baumbach would produce the movie for Netflix along with David Heyman and Uri Singer. 

Greta Gerwig has been to play Babette, Jack’s wife. Gerwig has recently devoted more time to her work in filmmaking (Little Women, Lady Birdy, and the upcoming Barbie movie). Still, she has also appeared in several of Baumbach’s films as an actor, including Mistress America, Frances Ha, and Greenberg. Gerwig and Baumbach are partners in real life. The cast also includes Raffey Cassidy (Vox Lux, The Killing of a Sacred Deer), May Nivola (The Pursuit of Love), Sam Nivola (Maestro), Lars Eidinger (Irma Vep, Babylon Berlin), Don Cheadle (Black Monday, Avengers: Endgame), and André Benjamin, aka André 3000. The plot of White Noise  

The same-named book by Don DeLillo served as the inspiration for the film White Noise. As the opening night film of the 2022 Venice Film Festival, White Noise received its debut showing, and several present critics offered their opinions.
