It was my very first movie, Hall thought. “It was my very first movie. I met Sanaa Lathan on it, and we did Love and Basketball, my second film. Since The Best Man Holiday wasn’t “instant” and the original had been out for fourteen years, Hall believed it was unique from any other sequels she had ever made.
