Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Release date

It’s too early to predict when Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will hit theatres at the time of writing. Filming for the movie is presently scheduled to start later in 2021. Movie companies have been in an ongoing cycle of postponing and rearranging films on their release dates due to the coronavirus outbreak. The earliest possible release date for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is mid-to late-2022, but delays brought on by the coronavirus could cause that date to be advanced even further.

The cast of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Honour in Dungeons & Dragons Some of Hollywood’s top superstars appear in the film Among Thieves, with Chris Pine as the bard Elgin is one of the critical parts. Pine called the character “the ultimate party planner” in an interview with Collider. Pine is best recognised for playing Captain James Kirk in the most recent Star Trek movies. In Wonder Woman, he also played Steve Trevor.

Additionally, Michelle Rodriguez appears as Holga, a barbarian. Among Rodriguez’s roles in movies and television is Ana on Lost and Letty in the Fast and Furious series.

Hugh Grant is flawlessly cast as Forge Fletcher, an aristocratic but malevolent rogue. Grant has portrayed roguishly charming men in various films, including Paddington 2 and Bridget Jones’s Diary. He recently appeared in The Undoing, playing a gritty yet endearing role. We’re eager to see him in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves as Forge Fletcher. The script was one of the few that Grant had lately been presented that made him chuckle, and he considered parts of it evocative of Monty Python. Grant stated that he was excited by the story.

Simon, the sorcerer, will be played by Justice Smith, who viewers may recognise from Detective Pikachu or Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Smith has also appeared as Radar in Paper Towns, and Zeke in The Get Down.

    Other details:

Regé-Jean Page, as well as Bridgerton native Simon Basset, will both perform as the paladin Xenk. We are eager to learn what caused a paladin to turn into a thief, and the page appeared in the 2022 movie The Gray Man.

Sophia Lillis portrays Doric, a tiefling druid. Lillis portrayed Nancy Drew in the 2019 film Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase and appeared in Sharp Objects and It: Chapter Two.

Dallas is by Jason Wong, best for his work in Jarhead 2 and ITV’s Strangers. In addition to Chloe Coleman from Little Big Lies, Daisy Head from the Netflix series Shadow and Bone and the horror movie Wrong Turn both have roles.

In the moments when it slows down enough for viewers to take in the surroundings, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which was shot primarily in Northern Ireland with some additional footage shot in Iceland, appears to be an enjoyable movie.

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, along with Michael Gilio, wrote the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves screenplay. Spider-Man: Homecoming’s script was written by Goldstein and Daley, who also the dark comedy Game Night. Entertainment One produced the movie.

The plot of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Star Elgin’s actor, Chris Pine, describes the movie as follows:

“Game of Thrones mixed with a little Princess Bride [and] just a smidge of Holy Grail” and said it’s “poppy, it’s eighties heartfelt, [and] there’s a bit of Goonies in there.” Additionally, director and writer John Daley assured fans of the D&D tabletop game that there would be “a tonne of Easter eggs crammed in there” in the film.

The official Paramount synopsis is as follows:

A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.
