24th October 2021, this date is going to be very special for all the cricket fans out and especially for the Indian and the Pakistan cricket fans as the most exciting and interesting clash between India and Pakistan, is going to be on October 24th. So indeed all the cricket fans are waiting for a sense of anticipation. This clash between India and Pakistan will take place at the Dubai International cricket stadium.
All cricket members and cricket fans are indeed seeing this India versus Pakistan clash as a must-win game. And in addition to this, it has to be noted that India has never lost to the Pakistan side in the T20 World Cup in the previous five faceoffs between the two sides.
Well ahead of this exciting and blockbuster clash, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has expressed that he is not nervous about it. Virat Kohli recently took to Twitter to post a tweet, which shows that he is not feeling nervous because of this clash. In the tweet, it can be seen that he was pointing to the ‘Wrogn’ symbol which was written on his t-shirt. Now if you’re wondering what’s the relation between them, this was an answer to the question which asked whether he was nervous ahead of India versus Pakistan match. The tweet reads, “People:- Big match on Sunday. You’re nervous right?”, and the answer to this question. Indeed an interesting way to answer.
Well, already India has won both the warm-up matches which took place ahead of the 2021 T20 World Cup. The Indian cricket team won in both the warm-up matches and with this, they have headed into the opening clash against Pakistan. On 18th October 2021, the day when the first warm match was conducted, Virat Kohli and his team defeated the England side with 7 wickets to spare. Then at the second warm-up encounter, India defeated Australia successfully by 9 wickets, and thus, now India will enter the 2021 T20 World Cup along with much confidence to win in this match too.
Regarding this match, Virat Kohli has also stated that he will approach the match against Pakistan. He said that he has approached any other game of cricket. He said, “I have always approached this game as just another game of Cricket.”
More than five years ago, it was the last time when India and Pakistan met in T20I cricket. It was on 19th March 2016 and the match was conducted at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. In the match, India restricted the Pakistan side to a total of 118/5 and then India chased down the target with 6 wickets to spare.
Not forgetting to tell that in that encounter, Indian skipper Virat Kohli was indeed the star performer with the willow for the Indian side. The 32-year-old Indian skippers scored a 37 – ball 55* and this resulted in helping India coast past the finish line. Amazingly, Virat Kohli also won the player of the match award in that encounter.
