Bharat Jodo Yatra : Ex-Army Chief With Rahul Gandhi

On Sunday, former Army chief Gen. Deepak Kapoor and other retired top officers of the defence services joined the Rahul Gandhi-led

From Dodwa in Karnal's Nilokheri region, the march continued in the morning and, by late afternoon, had entered the Kurukshetra district

Karnal, the home constituency of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, saw a large turnout of supporters as the Yatra passed through the city in the morning.

The Yatra's Haryana leg features prominent party members like Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Randeep Singh Surjewala, and Kumari Selja.

On September 30, 2007, retired General Deepak Kapoor assumed command of the armed forces as Chief of Staff.
