Brian Robinson suffers non-life-threatening injuries in shooting

Robinson engaged in combat with the suspects, according to NBC Washington, after they attempted to steal his Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. 

The shooting might have been sparked by the alleged altercation.

Police said they were interested in speaking with anyone connected to a white Toyota Camry that was seen on surveillance camera footage nearby.
