CR Kesavan, Grandson Of C Rajagopalachari, Quits Congress

On Thursday, Congress member C R Kesavan resigned

citing a "not seeing any of the vestiges of the values that made him work for the party for over two decades." 

Kesavan is the grandson of India's first Governor-General, C Rajagopalachari.

He did not give a specific reason for his decision

"A senior working committee member of the party has said that Droupadi Murmuji represents an evil philosophy

despite the fact that her nomination was a moment of pride for every Indian because she is the first tribal woman
