Indonesia stadium tragedy: crush at football match

Malang city, East Java, was in chaos after Persebaya Surabaya's 3-2 victory over Arema Malang on Saturday night.

therefore all 42,000 or so spectators were reportedly Arema supporters.

But following Arema's humiliating loss, the first against rival Persebaya at its home stadium

irate fans flooded the pitch to demand explanations. 

Rioting broke out outside the stadium, with fans throwing bottles and other items at players and soccer officials 

At least 174 people, including children and two police officers, were reported dead 

There were over a hundred persons hurt.
