Two people were hurt when the aquarium in a hotel in the centre of Berlin burst on Friday
The aquarium was 16 metres (52 feet) long.
Over a hundred firefighters were sent to the Radisson Blu in Berlin's Mitte neighbourhood to deal with the damage, the cause of which was not immediately clear.
A leak has developed in the aquarium.
The Berlin fire department tweeted that they did not yet have a clear picture of the situation.
At approximately 5:45 a.m. local time (04:45 GMT), there was a tremendous noise, and pieces of the hotel front
where the aquarium was housed flew onto the street, as reported by local media station RBB.
