PM Flags Off South's First Semi-High Speed Vande Bharat Express

The Vande Bharat Express, which connects Chennai and Mysuru, was officially launched 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Railway Station in Bengaluru. 

The first of its kind in southern India, this is the fifth Vande Bharat Express in total.

The PMO remarked that this would "enhance connectivity" between the cities of Chennai 

At the KSR train station, Prime Minister Modi also flagged off the Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan.

Karnataka's government and the Railways ministry are partnering to send pilgrims from Karnataka to Varanasi 

The PMO promised that pilgrims would be given "comfortable stay and guidance" during their journeys to Kashi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj.
