Pre-Budget 2023 Session to Begin on January 31

Starting on January 31 and running through April 6, Parliament will hold its annual Budget Session. 

There will be a recess from February 14 to March 12 and a total of 27 sittings over the course of 66 days

It is customary to present the Union Budget on February 1.

Public sector banks (PSBs) are reportedly on track to earn a combined profit of Rs 1 lakh crore

the government is unlikely to announce a capital infusion for them in the upcoming Budget. 

Capital adequacy ratios for these companies range between 14% and 20%, well above the minimum required by regulators.
