Shubman Gill Shows His Worth As A Modern

While it would be foolish to try to summarise an inning in a single shot

Shubman Gill's reverse-sweep on 95 might come close.

While not an exact number of innings, the predicament Gill's career was in and his outlook on the batting crease were.

Gill never before had reached 95 in a Test match. Gill may have fit right in at first glance

but he actually only had 11 matches under his belt and an average of 30.47 when he made his Test debut.

His other 90-plus score, from the Gabba in 2020-21, was a crucial part of India's record-setting chase.

However, India hasn't yet found a spot for him in the middle order, where it has been realised Gill may thrive.
