The Black Panther movie series’ handling of losing its star actor has been the subject of fan speculation after the untimely death of Chadwick Boseman in August 2020

Wakandan king T’Challa is died. With both the November release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the death of T’Challa will already have occurred at the start of the film

The fact that T’Challa’s demise (presumably) occurs off-screen enables them to open their movie with that homage and focus the narrative on what will happen to Wakanda
